The Story Behind Sweet SoMo Home Care Agency
My name is Sonya Morton, known as SoMo. For the past 12 years, I have had the profound honor of being the primary caregiver for my mother. This journey has been one of incredible love, perseverance, and faith. It has not always been easy—there have been valleys, hills, and occasional pitfalls—but it has always been my privilege and duty as her daughter to care for her.
Together, we have faced and conquered immense challenges, including battles with diabetes, heart issues, and even cancer. By the grace of God, we have come out victorious time and time again. These experiences taught me not only the resilience of the human spirit but also the importance of compassionate care and unwavering support.
In addition to caring for my mother, I also help look after my three elderly uncles, each of whom is deeply cherished. Balancing their needs alongside a demanding job often left me feeling stretched thin, wishing I could do more to provide the attention and care they truly deserved. I saw firsthand the emotional and physical toll of inadequate support—and I knew I wanted to make a difference.
This is why Sweet SoMo Home Care Agency was born. I created this agency to provide the compassionate, personalized care that every individual deserves, especially during their most vulnerable moments. My mission is to ensure that families, just like mine, can have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in capable, loving hands. Sweet SoMo is more than a business; it is a reflection of my journey, my values, and my commitment to serving others.
